July 3 - Favorite FireworksI have been waiting for fireworks for sometime as I have been wanting to try out the very long exposure technique for fireworks. I have been reading about this for sometime and I was planning on trying it out the night of Evergreen Park's firework celebration at Duffy Park. I also go to Yukich Field to avoid the crowds and trying to find a parking spot and I get to see all the big beautiful fireworks.
This year was just the same I went alone (thank you to my husband) as my little ones were tired. I was set up in a matter of three minutes, had my tripod up, camera set and just had to wait for the fireworks. Well they started and from my screen they appeared to be work, I just increase the amount of time my shutter was open to ensure I got all the firework and maybe the next one...let me say it worked beautifully!
Some of the fireworks are absolutely beautiful, they look like flowers, cool drawing or party decorations! Can't wait to see if I can find some more tonight!
