January 4 - Window LightI saw a suggestion from The Phoblographer (http://www.thephoblographer.com/) on Facebook about window lighting and how to use this wonderful asset when taking photos. I am a huge fan of window lighting and since today is cold and I have a stye on my eye that is taking over half of my face, I decided to try some indoor photos to share on my blog page. They recommended using a prime lens and I am using my 50mm 1.4 which did a great job. I shot late in the day about 3PM and the snowstorm was just starting, but the window light is still gorgeous. Try to use the available light with your shots instead of relying on flash or having your shots all grainy. Move towards the windows and open up your curtains, makes a huge difference. I love the catch lights in the eyes and the bubble is a great example, so awesome. These were all shot with only window light and it is amazing that window light makes crayons, grilled cheese and even this photographer look heavenly!

I'm learning as I go and I hope that many others will enjoy my photography and learn with me! I was inspired to pursue photography from capturing images of my children and family that people loved. I have been taking pictures since I can remember. I love photography and almost obsess about having beautiful pictures of my family and clients! I feel that photography is so extremely expensive and I hope to be able to provide lasting memories for low costs. Thank you for stopping by!
