February 18 - Another Sunrise
I pulled off La Grange onto Route 83 and as I was waiting at the light I could not help but notice the gorgeous color of the sunrise. Something makes it worth it to be up at 6:34AM to see a sunrise like this!
Now to be downtown and see a sunrise like that would be awesome! On my to do list this year : )
February 17 - Winter Bridge
I snapped this beautiful little bridge and wanted to show off the bridge without actually focusing on it, I loved the way it turned out. It turned out as well as I hoped as you see the frozen pond and the simple bridge in the background.
I am glad I now carry my camera with me at all times. When I see something now I use to say Oh I wish I had my camera! Now, I just pull over and snap away and love some of the photos I am able to capture.
Try it this week, pull over and take a shot of something that you admire and normally would drive by, you will be glad you did!
February 16 - Goalie
My five-year old had his first chance at playing goalie today at indoor soccer.
He was very good for his first time, he had the stance down and had the basic concept of what was required. He needs to learn that he can use his hands and that will come with time as they are not allowed to touch the ball at all, so I think he is ball shy. I am surprised he does as well as he does as we are not soccer people and I have no clue of what the rules are or what is required. I go and take pictures and say good job, nice stop and kick it the other way!
My favorite part of the day is the picture on the left, he waved right after I snapped this photo...I love five year-olds.
February 15 - Adorable Locks
I went to get my hair done and my eyebrows waxed before I leave for my trip in 14 days! I love my hair stylist she always does a great job, great conversation and I always feel wonderful when I leave.
Today when I arrived a dear friend of mine was there with her littlest one who was getting her haircut. She is the cutest little thing ever and cannot believe how cute she was and such a big girl and so patient. I happened to have my camera in my purse so I wanted to take a couple snap shots for her mom. She looked so stinkin adorable I couldn't pass this up!
I thought this was a perfect blog posting as it was part of my day and this little one is like part of my family!
February 14 - Valentines Day
Valentine's Day is not so much for my husband and I anymore, it is now for the kids. Kid's candy bags, their candy treats and I wouldn't have it any other way. They get so excited when they are little; they love candy and really get into the kisses and hugs of the holiday. Here are some of their treats from the day and I thought a perfect opportunity for a snapshot!
For my husband and me, Valentine's Day should be all the time. You should treat each other with love, kindness and do these Valentine's things all during the year. I am not saying there are not days that we do not roll our eyes, raise our voices or have tone, but we do take the time to say thank you, I appreciate that, forgive me, what would you like, let's pray on it and can we talk.
A beautiful Hallmark card and flowers is what speaks to some people. For me Valentine's Day is kisses from my two little men, my teenagers saying "Goodnight Mom Love you" and my husband making an effort to get something I truly want even when we say don't exchange gifts.
