April 8 - Swing
My little men love the park and the swings are one of their favorite things! I happen to catch this photo of my little man who was in the little kid swings like his baby brother. He is learning to swing by himself...he pumps his legs and loves to try and go very high.
I love this photo of my little guy and so glad I downloaded a new preset for Lightroom 4 which makes him the focus and everything else slightly blurry. I do this all the time with the lenses that I use, but this preset adds just a little something.

April 6 - Park
I took the boys to the park since the weather was so nice and really like that these flags are flying over the little ones while they play. The American flag needs to be replaced with a newer flag that isn't tattered along the edges, but they are still flying representing our country and those who have paid dearly for our freedom.
The sky was a beautiful backdrop for these flags on this day, couldn't ask for better at all...even a blue sky could not compare.
April 5 - Lonely Road
I left work late tonight and the sunset was gorgeous on my way home. I was able to stop on McCarthy/123rd and capture the sunset from my car before another car was in sight, which is very rare on a Friday night.
As you can see from this photo the road I travel on is a two-lane road and occurs for about 30 minutes of my drive into/out of work. Today coming and going to work I had a driver from the other side of the road swerve and cross over the yellow line. This happened as they were passing me, not the car in front or behind me. I have seen this happen to other people, but never to me. I Thank God above for his protection over me and that he had me paying attention because I was able to swerve to the right.
I will not text, look at my phone unless I am stopped, after today. I was not a text and drive person anyway, but today just showed me how quickly you can lose focus of what you are supposed to be doing if you are focusing on your phone...while you are going 50 mph.
After the two near misses today, I enjoyed this type of road because it was a little lonely and this one just happened to be very beautiful.
April 4 - Spring
I have taken a few days off from photo taking as we were recovering from the house-wide flu and as soon as that was over I have developed a cold...ugh!
I am so excited to have a warmer day today, my husband aired out the house and I drove home from work with the windows partly down. I miss that. When I got home I went into our yard which still looks blah due to the winter, but I saw this small sign of spring.
I am looking forward to getting in the yard and raking, cleaning up Annie's gifts and tidying up. That is the sign that spring is here and summer is not far behind...I miss yard work.
